Forgive me! I haven’t posted in SO long! I’m in the process of creating the Ultimate Client Experience and revamping my Welcome Package. So that has taken up most of my time. But I’m coming very close to finishing it and soon can focus more on photo shoots and updating the blog and Facebook page with session images! …
I LOVE beach sessions!
This is a session I did this summer but wasn’t able to post until just recently. They were such a great family. I absolutely loved getting to know them during the limited time we spent together.
They booked this shoot as an early Christmas gift to the grandparents of the children. They knew exactly what they wanted for the shots and they had already planned on a location when they booked their session. They were only here for one week and I was only available for a couple of days during that week so we had to depend on good weather and just hope for the best! Luckily we had the perfect weather for the shoot – overcast, warm, and barely any wind. Absolutely perfect!
This photo shoot was a bit different from my typical photo shoots. Normally I go over clothing choices and make sure they have multiple outfits that I have approved of prior, multiple hair style suggestions, up to 2 different locations, and numerous pose ideas, etc. I also really try for more serious facial expressions (while still capturing a few smiles) but this was meant to be more of a candid photo shoot on the beach where they spend their summers, and was meant to be more about them as they were on vacation. So I just showed up, no pre-consultation required and barely any planning involved, and we just shot until we had the photos we were hoping for, and it turned out great.
And these kids had such great personalities. They were making me laugh the whole time. And this little sweetie (the youngest of them) stole my heart. What a cutie! The older kids would stand behind me and say “Don’t you dare smile!” And she would beam uncontrollably.
I’m so looking forward to spending more time with them in the future and capturing their family photos. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be shooting their weddings!
XO
Candace
