There’s something so special and meaningful about writing down your Goals for the year. I never have been a fan of New Year’s Resolutions. For some people they need them every year but for me I need goals! Goals are also known as dreams, wishes, wants, etc. But why do I choose to call them Goals? Because Goals have more promise. Goals mean that I am going to work my little butt off to acheive them. If I called them Dreams I would sit back and wait for it to happen and if it didn’t happen I would say “Oh well… Not all dreams come true I guess.” But because I call it a GOAL, that means I’m going to achieve it because I’m going to work at it until I do.
I recommend you do the same. No matter what you are doing in your life. If you are graduating high school, starting a new career, trying to start your own business, or your a stay at home mom or dad… write a list of goals for 2012 and dream big. Seriously… dream so big that the goals you write down almost make you laugh to yourself. For instance… I currently have 163 likes on my Business Facebook Page. #2 on my Goal List? Receive 5000 likes by the end of 2012. Does that seem impossible? Maybe! But do I care? Nope! I’m still going to work my butt off at achieving it! And I know I can. If you saw the rest of my list you’d probably laugh too. But it’s private, much like your list should be. Do it for you and only you! Write down every single thing you wish to achieve in 2012 and because you’re not showing it to anyone you can be as silly as you want to be and dream as big as you want to! No one gets to say it’s never going to happen because you don’t have to show it to anyone and I recommend that you don’t! Once it’s written down, believe with all of your heart that every single one of those things will happen. How do you do that you might ask? How could I possibly believe that I’m going to make $50,000 in my first year of running my business, or take a trip to Disney Land this year? Or whatever it is on your list! … Just believe. Life works in funny ways! You’d be surprised how many of those items on your list you get to check off by the end of 2012.
Happy New Year everyone! Now start writing that list and watch the magic happen. 2012 is going to be a good year for a lot of people. I can just feel it!
